Heiko Jonny Maniero

Prof. Dr. h.c. Heiko Jonny Maniero, LL.B., LL.M. mult., M.L.E.

Mr. Maniero is a jurist and supervises our clients as an external data protection officer and data protection auditor. He is one of the three shareholders and authorized representative at the German Association for Data Protection.


Mr. Maniero studied law and economics at the universities of Munich, Hamburg, Yerevan, Bologna and Haifa. In the course of his university studies, he earned a bachelor’s degree and several master’s degrees. During his studies, Mr. Maniero developed a special interest in intellectual property, industrial property and IT law. His speciality is software rights and data protection.

Mr. Maniero is an honorary professor at the Academy of TV and radio journalism.


Mr. Maniero began his professional career in 1995 at a service company operating in the IT industry. He subsequently became a partner in several enterprises. He founded, inter alia, a company that traded with used software. After the sale of his last company, he concentrated solely on his law degree.

He was also employed at a law firm in Germany and acted a legal advisor at two software vendors of the used software as well as Notebook12 GmbH & Co. KG. He also supervised several large corporations as external data protection officers in the past.
