If harmful events occur, the insurance company of the damage-causing party is often liable for damage. The injured party and the person causing the damage shall provide the insurance company with information on the occurrence of the insured event and the amount of the damage. As a result, an expert may be commissioned with a plausibility assessment. He or she checks the information provided by the claimant and compares it with those of the damage-causing party. Furthermore, the expert usually calculates the compensation amount.
The IT experts of the German Association for Data Protection take over the necessary examinations of damaged or destroyed IT systems for insurance companies.
Independence is the top priority of the IT expert. In order to preserve our neutrality, the German Association for Data Protection does not generally bill discounted daily or hourly rates. We grant insurance groups the same billing rates as all other non-governmental contracting entities. We only accept individual orders from insurance companies and generally do not conclude long-term contracts or contingent contracts with insurance companies. Our strengths are independence and expertise.
